*We are looking for caring, compassionate and engaging RN to help promote health, independence, self-esteem and social integration .*
*Education/Experience:*
* RN degree from a regionally accredited college with one year of nursing experience.
*Certificates and Licenses:*
* NYS License as a Registered Nurse.
* Certification in CPR.
*Responsibilities*
* Coordinates health care services for individuals including direct nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
* Assesses medical training needs of staff and assures that staff are adequately trained to perform ongoing medical care and treatment.
* Provides health education and training to the individuals.
* Work as part of an interdisciplinary care team to meet the needs of the individuals.
* Ensures quality standards for nursing services are in compliance with OPWDD regulations, agency policies and the Nurse Practices Act.
* Works with community agencies in planning services to meet needs of the individuals.
*Additional Requirements:*
* A valid NYS driver's license and ability to drive and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required. Daily access to an automobile.
